Brunswick House

Brunswick House is situated on Redcar Road approximately half a mile from the town centre. It is a mid-terraced residential dwelling that was constructed around the turn of the 20th, century.

The main house is a three-storey property with a two-storey offshoot to the rear, both of which are constructed in traditional brick with tiled roof. To the front of the property is a forecourt whilst to the rear there is a yard.

The second floor accommodation is used solely for social activity, whilst the first floor incorporates three single bedrooms and bathroom. The ground floor has a lounge, dining room, kitchen and toilet.

The house has gas central heating and gas fires in both the ground floor public rooms.

Brunswick House Manager

Debbie grew up locally and has had a variety of different jobs.  In 2001 she decided that she would like to make a change of direction and that she needed a bigger challenge and wider experience. Having considered her options she decided to apply for a job as a Support Worker at Brunswick House. She was offered the job and subsequently started to work through the various levels of NVQ training, developing her knowledge and experience eventually becoming Home Manager. She continued her studies and achieved her Level 4 NVQ and Leadership & Management qualifications.

Debbie enjoys her job and is pleased with the qualifications that she has achieved since joining us. She has developed a good staff team and works closely with the residents. During her time as the Home Manager for Brunswick  House she has made great strides working with her residents and has encouraged them to master new life skills and to develop their potential.
